The EU Ecolabel (Regulation EC no. 66/2010) is the European Union mark of environmental quality which recognises products and services that are better for the environment and can thus be distinguished from competitor products on the market, while nevertheless maintaining high standards of service.

In fact, the label is proof that the product or service has a lower environmental impact throughout its entire life cycle.

The EU Ecolabel is the response to the demands of an increasing number of consumers who want to help reduce the problems of degradation of the planet by buying more environmentally friendly products.

FSC®, Forest Stewardship Council®, certification is an international certification system which guarantees that the raw material used to make a timber or paper product comes from forests that comply with strict environmental, social and financial standards.

In addition to the certification of forest management, the FSC also provides certification for companies which use certified material throughout all stages of processing; this is called Chain of Custody certification and enables companies to process and sell their products under the FSC label.

Certification of the chain of custody ensures that products such as paper actually come from certified forests.

Certified products can be supplied at the customer’s request.

ISEGA is the leading German laboratory able to issue certificates of conformity with the requirements of the Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BFR) for paper products. Certification constitutes a guarantee for the consumer that the product meets health and safety requirements.

The BFR is the German institute for the assessment of actual or potential risks to the health of consumers; it is also responsible for informing the public opinion with respect to such risks.

The BFR is the largest European institute for the regulation of consumer goods. Its assessments serve as guidelines for all other European authorities. It is no coincidence that the institute’s guidelines are the most stringent in the European community market.

Our social responsibility.

The standard SA8000 is an international standard setting out the requirements for correct ethical conduct by companies and the manufacturing sector towards workers. The standard ensures compliance with requirements focused on increasing the competitiveness of the organisation which voluntarily provides a guarantee of the ethical conduct of its manufacturing sector and its own production cycle.

The adoption of an ethical management model is thus an opportunity for the company to demonstrate to the outside world, through the drawing up of an Ethical Code, those qualities of respect and fairness on which our daily work has always been based.

The route to adopting such a model fits well with the systems already implemented by our company in the recent past, such as ISO 9000, and will guarantee:

  • respect for human rights;
  • respect for workers’ rights;
  • protection against child exploitation;
  • guarantees of workplace health and safety.
